Location of Weggis
Weggis is located in the heart of Central Switzerland, at the foot of Mt. Rigi, the Queen of the Mountains, and along Lake Lucerne known as “Vierwaldstättersee”.

You can reach Weggis by boat from Lucerne or by train from Lucerne to Küssnacht am Rigi then by bus to Weggis. You can also opt to travel by car along the lake, either from Lucerne or from Brunnen.

If you are coming from Zurich Airport, you can take the direct train called IR or InterRegio from Zurich Airport where you do not need to change train but with at least four (4) stops including the stop at the Zurich HB or Zurich Hauptbahnhof or Zurich Main Railway Station. This train operates every hour on a daily basis.
There are still other trains operating from Zurich Airport to Lucerne but with one (1) change at the Zurich HB or Zurich Hauptbahnhof or Zurich Main Railway Station. From Zurich Airport, you need to get off the train at the Zurich HB or Zurich Hauptbahnhof or Zurich Main Railway Station and transfer to another train going to Lucerne.
The Lake Lucerne Ferry Terminal or “Luzern Bahnhofquai” is just across the Lucerne City Railway Station or Bahnhof Luzern but in between the boat station and the train station is the Railway Square or the “Bahnhofplatz” where the bus station and the arch with the clock are located.
